What a busy September! We made it through...my wedding is over...the cool air has not hit in the room yet...and we are delving into some fun units. I am so excited about the training we are receiving in Step Up To Learning. We are going to become rockin' writers!!!
Please check in with your child to see how they are coming along with their reflections entry. Also, we keep reminding them about maintaining good hygiene...deodorant and showers are the best!!!! We have found that car air fresheners work wonders when attached to the fan...mmmmm good!
Keep checking your child's planner. We do write in them each day. This week has been crazy and we have worked up to bell on most days...hence I have not had the opportunity to check planners...but, yes, we do write in them!
We as a class are working hard on respecting adults in the building that teach us and transitioning from one subject to the next quietly. Having most of the students moving from the 5th grade as basically the same class brings end of year familiarity at the beginning of the year. Please check in with your child about appropriate times to visit with neighbors. Our new class rule is if they are asked to be quiet individually 3 times in one day, they will spend time with Mr. Pendergast. Support from home is always appreciated.
